A break for the people who give the most

Respite Services

Caring for a family member does not clock out at five. Respite gives the main caregiver a planned break, or coverage when something comes up, with a qualified support professional stepping in. Some families book it every week. Others call us when a parent lands in the hospital and cover is needed at short notice. Both are what this is for. How fast we can start depends on authorization and on who is free, so call as early as you can and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

What this support can include

  • Planned relief so caregivers can rest, work, or take time for themselves
  • Coverage during a short emergency or a caregiver's own illness
  • Keeping the home clean, safe, and running while you are away
  • Support tied to health, safety, and the goals in the support plan

This might be a good fit if…

  • A family caregiver who needs a planned break they can count on
  • A caregiver dealing with a short-term emergency or their own health
  • A household that needs reliable coverage for a few hours or a few days

Eligibility & how it’s funded

Respite is built into Personal Supports and covers short planned or unplanned breaks. If you need coverage soon, call rather than filling out the form, and call during office hours if you can. Outside them you will reach voicemail, and we return those the next business morning.

We’re an approved provider under the programs below, so this service can be authorized through the plan you already have.

  • HCBS Medicaid Waiver
  • Florida Community Care
  • APD iBudget
  • Coordinator referrals

Your program and support plan decide eligibility and covered hours, not us. If you're not sure where you stand, call. We'll help you work it out, and there's no cost to ask.
